Tour Itinerary
Your journey begins with a pickup from the airport or your hotel in Casablanca, followed by a comfortable drive along the highway toward Beni Mellal. Upon arrival, we’ll pause for a break, giving you time to stretch your legs and enjoy a meal. Afterward, we’ll proceed through Afourar and the Atlas Mountains to the stunning Bin El Ouidane Lake, where you’ll spend the night in a charming guesthouse nestled beside the water.
Following breakfast, we’ll journey to Imilchil, a remote Berber village nestled in the High Atlas Mountains, renowned across Morocco for its traditional Berber weddings. This village is steeped in a poignant legend of Tislit and Isli, two young lovers forbidden to marry due to feuding tribal families. Unable to bear separation, they drowned themselves in two nearby lakes, their tears said to have filled the waters. Tragically, a mountain separates these lakes, keeping their spirits apart even in death. After visiting the evocative lakes, we’ll pause for lunch in Imilchil before continuing through the scenic Assif Melloul Valley to Agoudal. The day concludes with an overnight stay in an authentic auberge in Agoudal, complete with dinner and breakfast.
After a traditional breakfast, we’ll set out to explore Akhiam Cave, situated just 7 kilometers from Agoudal toward the Dades Valley. This hidden gem, spared from heavy tourist traffic, retains its natural allure and can be accessed by foot, bicycle, car, or donkey—offering options to suit your preference. Later, we’ll proceed to the nomadic village of Tamozrgute, where you’ll enjoy lunch at Auberge La Grautte and have time to discover the surrounding area. We’ll then return to Agoudal for a second night’s stay.
At 9 a.m., we’ll embark on a captivating journey to the Sahara Desert in Merzouga. Our route takes us through the rugged High Atlas Mountains, passing charming Berber villages where you’ll catch glimpses of local families tending to their cattle. Along the way, we’ll pause for photos and short breaks, with an opportunity to enjoy tea with nomads in the striking gorges between Ait Hani and Amellagou. Later, we’ll stop for a scenic picnic beside a river.
After lunch, the drive continues through Goulmima and Erfoud toward Merzouga. Erfoud, famous for its October date festival and fossil-rich terrain, offers a chance to visit a workshop and observe artisans crafting fossils into intricate tiles. As we near Merzouga, the golden sand dunes come into view, setting the stage for a camel ride into the desert. The day concludes with an overnight stay in a luxurious tent amidst the dunes, surrounded by the tranquil beauty of the Sahara.
Following breakfast and a refreshing shower to shake off the desert dust, we’ll depart Merzouga for a scenic drive through Rissani, Erfoud, and Tinghir. In Tinghir, we’ll pause for lunch and take a leisurely walk through the awe-inspiring Todra Gorges, where towering cliffs frame lush palm groves and ancient ruins that blend seamlessly into the landscape. In the afternoon, our journey continues to Boumalne Dades, where we’ll veer north along the winding road of the Dades Gorges. We’ll stop briefly to capture photos at the striking “Monkey Feet” rock formation—curious shapes resembling fingers, likely sculpted by ancient lava flows—before pressing on to the summit of the gorges. This breathtaking stretch, often featured in travel brochures, showcases one of Morocco’s most stunning roads. Afterward, we’ll return to our hotel nestled at the base of the gorges, where a delightful dinner awaits, occasionally accompanied by a lively musical performance with the staff and fellow guests, before retiring for the night.
This morning, after breakfast in the hotel, We depart to Ouarzazate via Skoura . Stopping for a panoramic view of the kasbah of Taourirt then another photo stop near the atlas film studios. After that you will visit the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou and stop for lunch in a local restaurant in the village. In the Afternoon we will drive to Marrakech over the mountains of high Atlas, passing through the Tizi N’tichka pass (2260 m in altitude). Drop off in Marrakech.
After a delightful breakfast in Marrakech, set out on a guided tour of the city with a certified English-speaking local guide. Your exploration begins with the 16th-century Saadian Tombs, a stunning testament to Morocco’s royal past, followed by the “Dar Si Said” Museum of Moroccan Arts, where intricate craftsmanship takes center stage. Stroll through the aromatic Menara Gardens, admire the iconic Koutoubia Minaret, and step into the breathtaking Bahia Palace, renowned for its exquisite tiles, lavish courtyards, and elegant fountains. Following a lunch break at your leisure, venture to Djemaa el-Fna Square, a vibrant hub where fortune-tellers, acrobats, vendors, snake charmers, and magicians create a captivating, ever-evolving spectacle. As evening approaches, consider an unforgettable dinner show at Le Comptoir restaurant, blending entertainment with culinary delight, before returning to your Riad for a restful overnight stay.
